Safe to Speak: How High-Performing Teams Build Psychological Safety

Overview

Psychological safety is a research-backed driver of engagement, performance, and retention. When
team members feel safe to ask questions, share ideas, raise concerns, and admit mistakes, teams
make better decisions and deliver stronger results.

This interactive workshop equips leaders with a practical model centered on three essential
capabilities: Courage, Curiosity, and Compassion. Participants will assess their current team
environment, practice key behaviors, and leave with a concrete action plan to strengthen
psychological safety in their workplace.

Team Effectiveness

Overview

High-performing teams are a vital component contributing to the success of the organization.
Whether a team leader or team member, participants in this workshop examine and apply a
Team Effectiveness Framework, which identifies 4 essential components of high-performing
teams. Such teams have certain core elements, such as a strong sense of purpose, the right mix
of people, and a “way of working” that supports the team’s ability to think and act in service of
its purpose. Effective teams also have clear collective beliefs and values. They develop cohesive
relationships. They work together with other teams effectively across the organization. In this
workshop, participants work together in Learning Groups to learn these key concepts and apply
best practices to their own teams.

This half-day workshop is designed to help participants answer a key question: How can we
create high-performing teams?
